Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what Best Ball Buddy (“the extension”, “we”, “us”) does with your information. In short: the extension reads your own DraftKings — and, if you turn it on, Underdog — draft data to draw an overlay, keeps that data in your browser, and does not send it to our servers or sell it.
1. What the extension accesses
When you open a DraftKings best ball draft, the extension reads data the DraftKings page already loads through DraftKings’ API, including:
- Draft status (the board, picks made, your upcoming pick).
- The player pool (positions, ADP, bye weeks, teams).
- Contest names, and your own best ball lineups (to compute your portfolio exposure).
- Your DraftKings account identifier (a GUID), used only to detect when the signed-in account changes so cached data isn’t shown for the wrong account.
The extension uses your existing DraftKings browser session to read this data. It does not collect your DraftKings password or payment details.
1a. Underdog (optional, off by default)
Support for Underdog Fantasy is off until you switch it on from the extension’s popup, at which point Chrome asks you to grant access to Underdog’s site. Until you do, the extension does not run on — or read anything from — Underdog. If you enable it, the extension reads the equivalent data the Underdog draft page already loads through Underdog’s own API: draft status and picks, the slate’s player pool (positions, ADP, projections, bye weeks, teams), and your own entry in the draft. It uses your existing Underdog browser session, does not collect your Underdog password or payment details, never makes picks for you, and never writes anything back to Underdog. You can revoke the permission at any time from the popup or from Chrome’s extension settings.
2. Where your data is stored
The information above is processed and stored locally in your browser
using Chrome’s storage API (your display settings, per-contest scoring
weights, a cache of your exposure, and the account identifier). It is not transmitted to
any server operated by us. The only network requests the extension makes are to
api.draftkings.com (your own data), extensionpay.com (to check
your subscription, see below), and — only if you have enabled Underdog support —
api.underdogfantasy.com and stats.underdogfantasy.com (again,
your own data).
3. Payments and subscription
Subscriptions are handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you subscribe, you provide your email and payment details directly to them; we never see or store your full card number. We receive limited subscription information (such as your email, plan, and whether your subscription is active) so the extension can unlock. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not send your draft, lineup, or account data to our own servers.
- We do not include advertising or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.
- We do not use your data for anything other than providing the overlay and managing your subscription.
5. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored data remains until you clear it or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes the extension’s local storage. Billing records held by ExtensionPay/Stripe are retained per their policies; to access or delete those, contact us or them directly.
6. Your choices
- You can remove all local data by uninstalling the extension.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from the extension’s Account section.
- For any privacy request, email bestballbuddyinfo@gmail.com.
7. Eligibility
Best Ball Buddy is intended for adults eligible to use DraftKings and Underdog Fantasy in their jurisdiction. It is a personal analytics tool and is not directed to children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, in the extension or on our site.
